Creativity Channeled
As a little girl, I loved to draw. (Yeah, that's me in that awesome yellow coat!) The only problem was that I drew on everything...walls, dressers, cabinets. My mama finally put her foot down and told me I was no longer allowed to use the walls and furniture as my canvas. She must have been very adamant because I sure listened. I drew inside the drawers instead.
Kate seems to take after me in this arena. She's creative. loves to draw, but keep the pens and pencils out of reach! Kate has made a pretty picture on many a wall and table. And floor.
However, her favorite place to "cawah" is on her arms and legs. Yeah! I think it's fabulous when she finds a Sharpie right before we are getting ready to leave for the day.
Kate's latest is "do homework" at Ian's desk.
It's about the cutest thing I ever did see, especially since she's drawing on PAPER!

agreed! that is the cutest thing. i love how her head is tilted & her arm curled around. She's ready for college! :o)
Bryce has gotten pretty crazy about 'cowahs' (his take), but only manages to get it on the table.
She's so beautiful.
She is SOOO cute, just like her Mommy ( I love the archive photo). I love how much she looks like a big girl doing her homework, but her babiness is given away with that chubby little wrist.
So cute!!! I can't wait to meet this little artist!
Sounds like me too... must be a girl thing. However, Joren gets colored on quite a bit as well. My walls are doing okay though... knock on wood.
Kate! How fun to find little Kate drawings all over your house, and all over her body, too! How do you get the sharpie off? And I love your little girl picture!
I have to agree that the picture of her drawing IS one of the cutest things I have ever seen.
They grow ups so fast!!!
Kir this is so cute, I love it! Hey what was that site we were looking at with all those great pictures? Thanks!
The ice cream site is sibling of a good friend of mine, formally of Sandy. What a small world! Seriously, try the recipe!
We can TOTALLY relate to the "world is my canvas" phenomenon in our family! Kate is so precious and looks so much like you -- I love that picture of you!
That picture of you is so cute! You were an adorable little girl (even when wearing mustard yellow. Yikes!)
