I love taking pictures. I love my kids. I love Easter clothes. I love spring flowers. For all these reasons, I must take pictures of my cute kids, in their cute Easter clothes, in front of cute flowers. The question is, "Why is this so hard?"
Seriously, out of 160 pictures I snapped -in about 10-15 minutes- I got *10* pictures where all three were actually looking at the camera -looking, not smiling, or being cute.
I guess it is hard for kids when the following don't make the cut:
The yawn
The pirate face
The tongue
The crazy pose
The fake smile
not to mention the pushing, whining, yelling, scratching of crotches and closing of eyes that goes on.
But once in a while I get lucky...
and realize that photoshop can help...
and that sometimes kids don't have to be looking at the camera.

They are so GROWN!
I just saw pics from your last day living here and they were so tiny then.
Ian is so handsome and I love the daisies.
I remember those pictures...Jake was what...two?? Time flies. We're getting ready for some changes this summer -baby and new job maybe. We'll know soon!
Those are so sweet....all of them! It makes for such great memories, right? I even tell myself every time we go get our kids and/or family pictures taken, that I will buy at least one...even if they are silly, crying, closed eyes, double chinned... because if I don't, I will regret it. When Lauren was 2, we got our family picture taken and she was being a real pill that day but now they are one of our favorite set of pictures and she LOVES to hear about what a pistol she was.
But that one where they are holding hands is 'put-it-on-the-fireplace' frame-able! :)
Seriously, I think it's easier when they aren't looking at the camera. Cute kids!!!
Super cuteness Kir. Seriously, you have such beautiful, delightful children! What's this about a new job?...
Love the kids, love the Easter clothes, love the spring flowers -- such a delightful combination and you got some terrific shots. Have to say, though, from the above list, the kids are my favorite. Your family is so darling!
Those pictures turned out great. In 10 yrs. you'll be so glad you took those 160 pics just so you could find 3 perfect ones.
Hey--I spoke to Ben at Costco when I had him sign his book for me. We talked about you. I think the last time I saw him was 16 yrs ago.
Adorable pics! Can't wait to see the new addition join the gang. :)
